This patient presented with visible skin excess along the neck and prominent platysmal banding. In the before photos, loose skin gathered beneath the chin and along the jawline, with the neck contour appearing poorly defined from both the front and side views.

Dr. Michael Ablavsky, MD performed a platysmaplasty, excised the excess skin, and created a hammock structure to shape the jawline. Because fat deep to the platysma was also excised, the procedure is considered a deep plane neck lift.
